TEFL Jobs: My Perspective

Teaching Abroad: If you speak English and, say, Chinese, you could live in China and get a TEFL job teaching English to Chinese children. Also, if you are fluent in both English and Korean, you might want to reside in Korea and instruct Koreans in English. You understand what was being communicated. When you live in a foreign country and you’re teaching English to other people, it’s such a rewarding feeling. One of the best aspects of this type of job is to experience a different culture and getting paid for it too. The majority of TEFL positions will not need you to communicate the country’s native tongue in which you practice.

Home Tutoring: To work teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) you do not have to leave the country as you can offer this sort of tutoring from your own home. If you’d rather stay home, you could teach the immigrant population or you might be able to get a job with the government. Immigrants annually apply for citizenship and work towards getting certified as new citizens. Students are motivated to learn English to function in society, and to improve their potential for better job opportunities and income. That’s where you can get a TEFL job right here at home and teach those immigrants the English skills they require to move ahead in life.

Individual Tutoring: The classroom isn’t the only venue for a TEFL position. Because there are so many people who want to speak English, some of the best paying jobs are through offering private lessons to students. To secure the students whom you require to make great living, you need to create a web page and advertise your services. One of the best methods to master a language is to get personal coaching, you may want to consider that.
