This plan is based on the way of eating in the Mediterranean which is well-known for it’s heart healthy diet. a plan for healthy eating that fits into our modern lives and one that people of the Mediterranean eat every day. Studies have confirmed that people from this region have reduced heart disease and slimmer bodies. Starting this same eating plan will allow you to enjoy delicious food while also losing weight and getting healthy!
Mediterranean diet meals consist of lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. They don’t use a lot of red meat but have plenty of fish and seafood as the protein. You won’t find a lot of white rice or white bread, but instead savory flat breads and whole grains. And, of course, olive oil is used a lot in all dishes.
