A friend of mine imparted some infinite wisdom to me a few years ago. We were in a trendy clothing store as i was frantically looking for a nice t-shirt or scarf for my girlfriends birthday – after enduring a few minutes of my panicked state he said “what’s wrong with you man – just get her a cashmere sweater… girls love cashmere.”

It seemed almost too simple. I bought her a white cashmere cardigan and we hit the bars.
