I would say about a fourth of ours is livestock. Over half, maybe 60+% is dogs, around10% cats, and the last five percent would be sales and exotics. Exotics would run less than one percent of the revenue.
We are in a rural area.

What type of animals are most common at your clinics?

I work for an emergency vet. We are strictly small animals. However, it depends on the vet who is on call any particular evening! Some will see exotics, some will not. Some are strictly dogs and cats, some will include pocket pets, etc. It just really depends.

We’re in the middle of rural areas, but for emergency cases we only see the small stuff. There are other vet’s in the area who will do large animal.

don’t think i can break it down like you did, but the vets that i work for won’t do large animal, only one will see anything other than dogs and cats, and he (only on rare occasion and only for people he knows and likes) will see rabbits, guinea pigs or ferrets
