Would legalizing prostitution actually reduce crime and disease, while also bringing in tax revenues?

Think about it.
If we make prostitution legal all over the USA, what would happen?
It would be highly regulated, with all sorts of standards. People in the industry would need to purchase licenses, and pay taxe.
There would be far less disease with all the health standards.
The high degree of regulation could help to prevent the involvement of minors on prostitution.
What do you think?
Whether its legal or not it will continue to be present in society. So why not make money off it, while keeping those involved safe?
Should we legalize prostitution?
Having problems getting laid?
Remember when the IRS seized a Nevada brothel because of taxes and ran it bankrupt in only 11 months.

Yes, that would be a real "happy ending" to this problem

Yes it would help.
Democrats legalize gay marriage, so this should be a no-brainer for them – something they are good at.

This might be more of a moral matter for some, but I have seen that it works well in countries such as Germany and Holland. There is no illegal prostitution, the women get medical care, benefits and even a pension once they decide to quit. If people want to have sex and not worry about STDs, the brothels are usually a safe place to go. Besides, they don’t have to worry about prostitues being beaten, raped, killed or otherwise being taken advantage of.

I would be in favor of it.
I used to live in Nevada where 15 (I think) counties have legalized it.
Sex crimes are almost an unknown item, streets are safe.
It’s a win-win because of regulation.
Still, the government should not run a whorehouse, it should be privately owned but closely regulated.

It’s those nanny state people who want the govt to control your life who are the hurdle.
I’m all in favor of acting like adults and not being scared of sex.
