Im writing a persuasive speech on how legalizing marijuana would benefit the economy. My three main points are that the legalization would create jobs, eliminate current tax expenditure, and generate a new source of tax revenue. I need to know the problems of the economy and how/if these points can help to fix it. Any help is greatly appreciated and if possible please site reliable sources for they too must be sited in my speech. Thanks again to any help! =)
it might benifit the government but the government is not the economy. Who gets the benifit of tax dollars? is this the most efficient use of the money or would the private illegal sector spending the money be more of a boost? Taxes hurt the economy be taking vital capitol out and spending it on wasteful non productive programs.

Any product that is wanted by the people enough so that they are willing to pay more than what it costs to make it will be profitable. If the product is not profitable, then resources are being wasted on it. If it is profitable, then it is helping the economy be giving people more goods that they want.
Legalizing Marijuana might help a little, but it probably isn’t large enough to make a noticeable impact. Just say what I said in my first paragraph if you have to write that it will benefit the economy.
