Get A Free Apple iPad
31.January, 2010
Has Apple done it again? They were all but defeated years ago when they just couldn’t compete with the big boys for a solid share in the computer industry, then they developed the iPod which completely turned them in a new direction. They still produce fantastic computers but now we have such nice devices as the iPod, iPhone, iTouch and now we are presented with the new iPad. Is it just another gadget that we don’t need or will this device serve a purpose or at least help us combine a few of our gadgets so we don’t weigh down our pockets or purses? See how you can get a iPad free.
Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO, introduced this device today as a larger iPhone which is more powerful and will allow for more comfortable usage when reading, playing games, typing emails or surfing the web. The tablet will come in two models, the 3G version which allows for data plans with AT&T or the WiFi only version which will require a connection to a wireless network in order to take advantage of it’s internet based applications. This sounds very familiar and reminds me of the iPhone vs. iTouch situation. With the iPhone, you have to pay for a monthly data plan but the iTouch allows you to just connect to any WiFi network.
The iPad screen is a touch screen just like the iPhone but it boasts a 9.7″ screen size. The device is about a half inch thick and weighs approximately 1.5 pounds, comes with 16, 32 or 64 gigabytes of flash memory and has a 1 ghz processor. All models will be WiFi and Bluetooth capable and the batteries are expected to last about 10 hours.
The iPad also has access to the app store so you can load up your favorite apps which are currently being developed to be used on the bigger 9″ screen.
The price of the iPad will range from $499-$699 with an increase of $120-$130 for 3G models.
Is this new iPad device the next big thing? I know I want one!!
